about a decade ago we redid the kitchen and added a Taco mix valve to fill turtle tanks (yes, plural, don't ask).
Since it was a mix valve I figured a check valve would be a good idea.
In the last 6 years, or so, we had the heating plant taken from 1 to 3 zones, and a new separate dom HW heater, 45 gal.
Recently, when we turn water on in one part of the house, the hot goes away from another area, kitchen sink or a bath.
I've started to notice the kitchen sink vacillates back and forth, hot and cold, when only hot is on.
And other issues like this when only one faucet is on.
I wonder if this is a dom hw heater issue or perhaps the check valve has failed?
