Be it the kitchen sink or bathroom sinks, where the drain pipes exit our house through the drywall, is this always going to be an entry point for ants? I took a look at mine (older house) and there is definitely a way for them to get through. Easily. In one of my bathrooms there were significantly large entry points (from chipped drywall).

Are there ways to seal this area off? Ants only need tiny crack to slip through. I was wondering what new home builders do to create a perfect exit point for the drain pipes where there are no cracks for ants or spiders to get through.

go to your pharmacey,,ask for borax

hook a tube up to a small funnel

stick the tube in the wall beside the drain pipe.

mix 1/4 sugar to 3/4 borax and pour into the wall/funnel

you can buy borax aunt killer it cost more than pure borax

they are the same thing...sso get it from the pharmacy

Expanding foam, fire caulk or regular caulking. In my experience as a home owner, ants will only enter the home if they have a good reason. If you have carpenter ants, then you should contact an exterminator.
