Hey guys take a look at my set up at my house. I need your input on how to have the most efficient system. I have 5 bathrooms and one half bath. It's on a well. The pressure is not that great. So I added a booster pump well all it does is cycle on and off a lot. What is your suggestion how to fix this. I'm open to anything you guys throw out there. I have a lot of daughters and to say the least they tie up the showers and water pressure just plummets. Thank you for your help and guidance.

I tried to post on plumbing zone and they really got a kick out of this set up. So please be easy all I did was add the booster pump nothing more. I'm just trying to learn how to do it right. So thank you for your time. ImageUploadedByPlumbing Forum1389384620.256837.jpg

It's really hard to tell where any of the pipes come from or go to. Does your booster pump help at all? Why does it turn on and off so much? What is the silver looking vertical tank? I see the Kinetico softener with the tell tale in line filter that is probably plugged up, but I don't recognize the silver tank.

I am assuming your on a submersible pump since the switch is mounted at the tank. Do you know what your on and off pressures are?

The silver tank is a UV light. Yes it's a well pump and set at 40-60 psi. I have changed the sediment filter very often along with the carbon filter. The booster pump helps a lot but problem is it cycles on and off so much.

What brand booster pump? How is it controlled; with a tank and pressure switch or with a flow switch?

It's from harbor freight. It had a flow switch but it was very inaccurate. Si I installed a pressure switch. When it's running it's awesome the pressure we were getting.

I was considering installing a Russo sediment filter to help with the flow. Also I'm sure I need a bigger pressure tank. What would u recommend. I would love to see pictures of some very top notch work so I could get ideas how to redo everything so it looks professional. The plumbers that installed it when the house was built really sucked.

You have two options (not counting getting a better pump); Using a larger better tank Zilmet Tanks or using a good flow switch Motors-Switches/Flow Switch
Either would work good. The larger the tank, the less it will cycle on and off. Cycling is very hard on a motor.
