So beforehand there wasn't a proper seal on the corner shower unit. So I called a guy and he put in a drain that actually worked, but when he did it's too high to actually drain the majority of the water.

So I called a plumber and $100 later, he said we'd have to remove the whole shower unit, jack-hammer the floor, and then we could actually lower it.

But that's very expensive, and I was wondering if it would be possible to call another plumber to just shave a little off the pipe to make it lower, or to raise the shower base somehow.

I don't understand this stuff, please help!

It wouldn't be easy, but it's definitely possible without removing the base as long as there's adequate pipe to play with

is it white plastic? Is it glued into the drain assembly?
And from the 2nd pic, it looks as if it recessed. How much too high is it?

The drain is recessed but what I think he means is the fixture outlet pipe is too long, thus pushing on the bottom of the base and flexing the acrylic upwards, causing back grade from the drain.
