I need some professional advice on an electric tankless water heater that has been installed in our master bathroom to service just one shower and nothing else. There is NO consistency of temperature coming out of this water heater and it is driving me wild. I have complained about it from day one and do believe that the unit is defective. The plumber obviously does not want to lose the sale but does not accept the fact that I know what I'm talking about when I say the delivery of hot water is erratic - sometimes fluctuating as much as four or five degree colder or hotter. He has given me every excuse in the book including it was my Speakman shower head that has no baffle in it, the water coming from the well is exceptionally cold, yatta, yatta, yatta, several other excuses too numerous and complicated to address here. He obviously wants to hang on to his part of the two grand we have spent so far and does not want to accept my assessment of the situation in spite of the fact that I'm the one taking the shower in this place and he is not. Of necessity, I needed to stop discussing it with him or end up screaming and cursing him out. He has made it clear that he is on the manufacturer's side.
Can anyone suggest a course of action? It's beginning to look like I'm going to have to complain to the North Carolina Utilities Board as well as the North Carolina Attorney General. Any help would be gratefully accepted.
