Hello -
I recently had a supply hose to my toilet break. Luckily I was home at the time and stopped it before any damage occurred. I have replaced the supply hose with one from Lowe's with a plastic fitting. Do you sell metal fitting supply hoses that I could install instead of the plastic ones?

Also, do you install auto water shutoff systems? One where the system shuts the main water off when there's a water leak?

I would be interested in having an auto shutoff system installed as well as purchasing three metal fitting supply hoses for each of the toilets in my home.

Is this a service you provide, would you be able to give me an estimate on it?

Thank you!

Most toilet fill valves are plastic, why do you want a metal nut, is your fill valve metal?
Use a stainless braided supply, they will not burst, but can spring a leak. I would be more concern with my laundry hoses if they're not braided than my toilet supply. Automatic whole house shut off are not the norm -- I've never installed one, but I can see them as being problematic.

Thanks for your helpful reply. I will use your advice! Thank you again!

braided hoses can rupture also, ive seen it.

the best thing one can do is turn the water main off if you are going away for any length of time .

Thank you! I wish there were some type of product that could recognize a leak and auto shut the water off in some way. Thank you all again for your input!

Wow, if you have a name or link I would love to read more about it. Are there reviews of it? Thank you!

I agree John. I was hoping the link may provide some insight as to how they work. I myself just shut off the entire water supply leading to my vacation home, and don't have to worry about these gizmos. If money was no object, I've also seen water alarms mounted at all water sources that immediately shut off the water flow is it senses water, but we all know how electronics can haywire.

Liquid, are you talking about the flood safe supply Havasu & John mention, or are you talking about the standard stainless braided with the brass piece that holds the nuts on the supply. Have others found the braided supply burst as well (the standard one not the flood safe)

I am talking about the standard braided supply tube, they do leak and or break at times.

I have never found one burst/rupture, Had one spring a leak. I agree that the service entrance valve should be turned off , gas water heater set to vacation, electric water heater turned off when leaving for extended time.

Like others have said just turn off the water when none will be at home. If you looking for a easy way to do that you could install a valve that would operate off a wall switch.

John
