If by hd you mean home chepo, then you should now that they buy all they're stuff in bulk for a cheaper price, the only catch is the manufactures have to use cheaper materials,to sell to home chepo, but they still slap on the same name and model number as the ones they sell to plumbing supply houses.

...that would be fraud.

HOME DESPARADO sells mostly junk import (and manufacturers sell their lower quality name brands via box stores). They (box stores) have to sell some brand name product as there may be no CHI-COM available or they carried it and it wasn't satisfactory.

A supply house allows little slack on pricing. A walk-in on a CASH ACOUNT had better purchase a tube of RECTUM SEAL to make the transaction somewhat easier.

What I have found is that a supply house (FERGUSON in my experience) sells the same CHI-COM crap as a box store at a much greater price than the box stores.

It's buyer beware wherever you shop.
