Inspector is turning the rough inspection in this lavatories down. Is it fair?

It has been rejected with the 90 bend and also with a 45.

Did the inspector actually explain to you why you failed inspection?

I can already tell you that at least one of the drains it's too far away from the vent

Both are s-trapped. If that's for a double vanity, it's all going to need to be re piped with a proper double sanitary tee connection and dual vent. I'm sure somebody can do you up a diagram

Thanks!!! Yes, its for a double lavatory, but underground rough has already been approved, so adding a new line and vent is complicated. Two different inspectors have rejected it for the traps, but allowed the single 3" vent and drain...

The 3" goes down through the floor tied to the sewer line, and goes up through the roof as a vent. With a clean out half way up through the wall. In the photos it would be the right part where the two 2" lines with the s traps are connected.

be advised, you are under the inspectors microscope

I would advise that you not cheat on the fall on that 2'' line

and, when you turn up with your 90, use a street 90

your drain needs to be NO MORE than 21'' from the floor to the center of the pipe, where it comes out of the wall
