Advice for first pedestal sink parts replacement?

I need to replace the drain stopper and faucet hardware on a pedestal sink for my mom. I have changed these things many times on my own cabinet sinks but I am realizing the pedestal sink bowl is much more complicated with it being sealed to the wall and a very tight working space. Any recommendations for strategies for these? From my research there could be drywall damage with removing the entire bowl, which seems like it would need to be done because the space is very tight.

Also considering just recommending hiring someone. I wouldn't want to mess it up and damage something. How many hours would this take someone on task rabbit to do?
