Is it okay to clamp a plastic toilet water supply hose shut? The shutoff valve is old and doesn't close all the way, so I was wondering if I could just clamp the supply hose shut to install something above the hose. I don't know if the hose would break in a clamp, and couldn't find anything online about it. Any help is appreciated!
