3" Ejector pump check valve

I'm replacing the check valve for my ejector pump and I'm pretty sure this is the one I have installed.
It looks just like it. It says the connection is compression. I know I may sound stupid, but
do I just unscrew the nuts on either end to remove it or are they glued onto the pipe?

Those nuts are removable. We only use the Quiet Check models with clear plastic (who wants 'thunk' sound?)

Thanks breplum. I wish I could find a 3” quiet check valve with a compression connection. I don’t have room to add a union on either side. Do you know of any?
