I need a 12v pump to supply water from my dam to a 55gal sand filter drum... my other pump will take the filtered water from the barrel and push it up a hill.

It needs to be:

1: self priming (my main pump is self priming to 2.7m depth)

2: maximum pressure of 14PSI (I believe the 55gal drums are rated for about 14PSI)

3: a flow rate of around 6LPM (my main pump is rated for 5.5LPM)

4: pressure switch cut-off

5: continuous cycle indefinitely

Run dry would be beneficial.

My current pump pumps straight from the dam and up to the house tanks (about 300m of hose and 50m vertical).

My house filters are struggling to filter out the water adequately.

My plan is to pump water to the drum form the dam and have a float switch cut off when it is full.

Hopefully it will pressurise the drum and help push water through the sand.

Than my other pump will pump the clean water from the drum up to my water tanks.

I have a float switch to cut off the flow when tanks are full.

It's all running off a largish 12v solar charged battery with low voltage cutoff (when full charged it powers my main for about 10 hours).

Really hoping to find a cheap pump just to get water into the barrel from the dam if anybody has recommendations?

If anybody has any ideas or thoughts about my setup let me know.

Thanks
