Watts water heater recirculating system

I installed this at my new house today. It is the second one I've installed and the installation is fairly straight forward. I'm hoping to save lots of water and time, since the run from the water heater to the shower faucet is about 90 feet long.

you can take the $ avings one more step if you wish.

run an wire back to the light switch.in the bathroom.

when the light comes on the pump comes on, you have hot water

no need for a timer,

if you use 3 way switchs you can control it from a couple different spots

That's usually what I do. Not many people are having showers in the dark, so no need to send water there!

I hear they run on about a nickel a day. To run a switch to 3 bathrooms and a kitchen would cost about $200 in wires and days to conquer. I honestly don't see the payoff since I run the hot water about 5 hours a day. I just tested the system. It took nearly 3 minutes for the water to get hot in the kitchen. Now, it is hot within 6 seconds.
