Water Through Vent

There is a vent under my kitchen sink. Every time the washing machine drains water comes up through the vent under the kitchen sink. All other drains work fine. Can anyone tell me why?

The vent is failing, it should not allow anything to exit. On top of that, I am thinking that you have a clogged drain, which is causing a backup to push waste out of the vent.

...and into the dishwasher discharge hose. You will have left over debris and water in the hose. Once the clog is cleared, the hose needs a higher loop in it and strapped for support.

darn dishwasher drain has no ptrap. your dishwasher must smell like crap
