Water Pipe to boathouse?

Having boathouse built 150' from my house, electrician is trenching to run electrical. I would like to lay a 3/4 pex line in the same trench for water line. Questions: Use Pex A or B? (does it matter) and should I run it in some PVC pipe for protection? Home is on a Well.

I believe most code calls for 12" separation. I would also sleeve the pex inside pvc

Plastic pipe should have a tracer wire along side it and daylighting on both ends for the future, when needed.

separation depends upon your local or state codes.
