Our new 40 gal Sears water heater makes a loud 'groaning' noise a few seconds after the burner turns on. It lasts about 8 seconds.
A Sears technician adjusted the burner mounting plate (?) but the noise came back after a day or so. Any suggestions as to what is causing this ?
