I'm working on a project with a client and my go to guy is on vacation. I'm hoping to get some help here. My client is remodeling their bathroom, and they would like to put the controls on a wall outside of the shower, but they will need a diverter on the inside to operate the shower head and handheld either separately or together. I was thinking of a 1-function thermostatic valve on the outside wall and lead that to a 3-function diverter on the wall with the showerhead and handheld. Will that work? I'm definitely NOT an artist, but hopefully this drawing may clear up my question.
