Hello,
Im new here, can someone help reduce my worry? New homeowner
Im leaving house for months and decided to turn off water. The steps I took are:
1. Turn off water main, drain lines ect
2. Unplug water softener
3. Turned gas water heater to off (options are on, pilot, off) and turned thermostat to pilot(lowest setting).
I know now I didn’t need to turn water heater off but it’s done so I’m going to leave it. I left the house already, I realized I left the in line ball valve gas line to the water heater on, but turned it off at the water heater. Is this ok? Is there risk of room flooding with gas?
