I did search for answers/suggestions prior to posting but I didn't run across this particular scenario being addressed.
So, I have both the 4 lug removal tool as well as the brass 1.5" tub drain extractor and neither will work to remove the existing drain. The cross bars have busted completely off and the extractor just sits all the way down in the drain and I can spin it by hand. It doesn't grab anything because it's tool small for the drain opening.
I've tried looking for a larger brass extractor and haven't been able to locate one anywhere. Am I looking for the wrong thing or is there something else I can do to get the old one out?
Any suggestion are appreciated.
