I cut the top flange portion off my original 1981 toilet flange because it was 3/4” above my finished floor and slightly warped. As shown in the pics it’s flush with my subfloor now. The collar portion of the flange still remains. I purchased a few flanges from the big box store one designed to go over the 4” pipe but surprisingly it was too big. Would greatly appreciate any advice on how to proceed. I have an oscillating tool to make a cut ‘below grade’ and then try to remove the entire collar but wanted to check with the experts first!
