hello, does anyone know exactly what this plastic part is called? it goes into the spout hose that then connects to the inlet line to the handle to the faucet and actual sink faucet. this plastic thing broke off the end and i cant seem to find it anywhere much less describe it with a name. the plastic thing has some kind of a horseshoe clip that squeezes the copper tube when inserted and holds it in place. without this plastic thing the hose just falls down when trying to insert it into the copper line of the faucet.

all i need is to connect the two ends in the 3rd picture below with a proper fitting using a plastic hose. is there an alternative solution?

i think this is a delta 1903-dst faucet and i ended up buying one but it didnt come with the hose or plastic thing at the end.

i've not had a successful plumber fix this and they simply come by and order what they think is the part but the only thing that arrives is the plastic hose. i've literally got 3 new plastic hoses but none of them come with the plastic thingamabob. i've given up and i'm trying this forum as another way to get answers.

i appreciate anyone that can help me solve this problem!
