Hello,

I have tried without luck to find online or in person in various hardware stores a replacement for this 1.0" diameter by 2.2" length hot faucet cartridge (for a two-handle faucet). It's from a Kohler faucet from probably the late 1980s or early 1990s. I have two of these faucets in the bathroom, so I hate to replace them if it's just a leaky cartridge. Any ideas for a good source for this or even the part number?

FYI, I can't find a model number on the faucet.

Appreciate any help you may have,

Gus

That’s a kohler Valvet model.

It’s sold with the seat typically that you’ve left inside your faucet body.

It’s also commonly sold without the bonnet nut that you unscrewed your remove that stem assembly from your faucet.

You can reuse the bonnet nut, they really don’t wear out.

The stems are sold as hot and cold versions. For round handles you would need two hot stems. Hot/cold refers to the direction the stems turn off.

Lever handles would need one hot and one cold stem, they turn off opposite ways.

There are factory ceramic cartridges available now that update the current version you have now. They’re better.

Good luck from the know it all club.
