Hey guys. Need some advice. Totally new here, so apologies if this is in the wrong place.

Need some advice on adding a second sink in-line to a single drain. Without major demo, I can’t really relocate the drain stack.

Here’s the situation: very small bathroom in my daughters’ room. The existing sink/plumbing is currently outside the bathroom. I want to add a very small pedestal sink into the corner of the bathroom and tie it into the drain line of the existing sink. Total distance between the existing sink and the new sink will be about 40”.

I’m smart enough to know this is a non-traditional set up, but given space constraints and framing, this this what I’m left with. Both sinks will be same height. Here’s a pic of what I’m imagining... Have I crossed the line? Don’t want one sink draining into the other. Advice welcome.

Gotcha. Kill the WYE and replace with a Sanitary Tee. Then first trap into ST horizontal to prevent S trap. Will the rest of the system function, or do I need to creat a second vent arm for the second trap?
