One of my daughters had a bathroom sink drain that was leaking out onto the living room floor. This is what I found. Must have been some kind of a government operation.

It's not pretty, but it's solid, and it's not going to leak if there is another clog. Not what I wanted to do, but that T had no threads. They tried to glue that rubber adaptor in. I'm thinking there must have been some major roof damage at some point for someone to remove the original iron vent pipe. Look at that stud on the left. My cut is true vertical. Gotta put a 2x2 in there for sheetrock attachment. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around what exactly happened here. Any Ideas?
