I just replaced a kitchen faucet with Price Pfister single handle model with side sprayer. Installed with no problem. Removed aerator, flushed faucet. The sprayer that came with it is a cheap-looking plastic one. Instead of using this, I used a stainless steel Kingston Brass one from my previous faucet, which always worked well. As soon as I turned the faucet on, there was severe knocking in the hose going to the sprayer. After running for a while, it lessened but came back when switching from cold to hot, and vice versa. At this point, I switched to the plastic Price Pfister. Knocking was much less and went away quicker, but was still there. As I switch back and forth to experiment, they both still have knocking. When I take the sprayer off completely and just let water run through the house, it flows freely with no knocking. Does this mean that both sprayers have some form or debris, and need to be replaced? Or is it something else?
Long-winded, but thorough.

Hrm, could be two things that I can think of.

1) There is too much water pressure coming through the new faucet. Unlikely, but it could happen.

2) The new faucet has a faulty diverter valve which is allowing seepage from the sprayer line. This should be a free replacement part from the store where you purchased it (or if they don't have it then directly from PP)

Thanks. I am assuming #2. Since I've only had the faucet for a week, I'm not going to bother replacing the diverter. Faucet will go back to the store, to be replaced with a new Delta faucet. Should take care of the issue.
