If your tube into the overflow is not held above the top of the tube then, that is a problem and needs a clip to keep it above the overflow tube.

nobody would recommend replacing a Fluidmaster fill valve when you can buy the $2. Fluidmaster seal...oh, new inflated price is now $4.it is the flap.

I quit replacing the seal, I’ll only replace the entire ballcock. Had a few start leaking again a few weeks later.
