I have the shower valve below (I think it is a Hansgrohe Solaris E Thermo Balance II Trim, Polished Chrome #06636000). Even in the off position my water still drips from the shower head and tub spout. How do I fix this issue? Do I need to replace or clean the thermostatic cartridge as in this video?

That is a good looking set up!

I'd call Hansgrohe and ask if they provide free parts replacements, since you need your cartridge replaced.

I would not go through the trouble of removing the face plate unless I was going to completely replace that cartridge.

Do I need to clean the tarnish ("verdigris") on this pipe before installing the new thermostatic cartridge? If so, what should I use?
Thanks
