Hi Everyone,

Through recent browsing, I have seen some products that allow and older cartridge to a adapt to a new shower faucet, etc.

I believe I have a 15 year old Delta 1700 series. I will try and attach a pic. Does anyone know about these adapters?

Thank you,

Adam

Never heard of that. Why would you want to adapt and old style cartridge to a new faucet? Can you be more specific

Okay, I get it. You're playing around and trying to be funny.

To prevent me having to tear the wall out to get to the plumbing.. No there is no access panel, etc..

Still doesn't make sense. The cartridge is the replaceable part of the valve. Why would you want to put an old cartridge in a new valve. Why don't you just replace the old cartridge with a new cartridge for the same valve.

I believe the OP is referring to keeping his old brass valve in the wall, but replacing the cartridge, handle and faceplate with new and modern hardware. I myself have never seen such an item, but can see the usefullness in it.

Thank you, that is exactly what I am trying to do... Delta offers this product. Thanks guys,

Adam

That makes a little more scense. A Delta product for a Delta fixture.
