We have an old school 3 faucet tub/shower. The diverter (middle one to turn on the shower) was getting stuck and we had some leakage from the cold and hot faucets as well. So our landlord came over and replaced the stems of the cold and hot and replaced the seat and hardware for the diverter; however, now when you turn the diverter it sends some to the shower head, but its still just pour out the tub spout. Any ideas? we replaced the seat and the rubber washer, but not the stem i think the big copper piece that the hardware screws on to. Not sure if I have all the information, but just let me know if i need more descriptions.

I hope someone answers this because I have the same problem (except nothing has been replaced-- yet). I pull the diverter and water comes out the shower head but copious amounts still pour out of the tub faucet.

I bought a new faucet and handles to install, but haven't gotten around to it yet (partially since I've never done it before).

Maybe the wrong seat was installed. Why not call the landlord back for a proper repair.

If you have a diverter on your tub spout, replacing your tub spout should take care of your problem. If you do not have a diverter tub spout post a pic of what you have.

Thanks, IFIXH20. (I just now noticed what your username spells out-- nice!) The one that is leaking has a diverter on the tub spout. Right now my "To Do" list is extremely long.

Did you ever get it sorted out, vanderhoogta?
