All,
I have a question I can't seem to get a straight answer on. I'm not going to get into too much detail, but I am unable to shut my water off at this time. Do you think it would be possible, to cut the copper pipe and slide on a sharkbite valve with the water running/still on? I understand that this is not the best way to do this, but I need a tap in this location and am unable to turn off the water at this time. I am thinking if I turn the sharkbite valve to the open position, then quickly cut the pipe and slide on the valve I should be good to go. I just want to get some opinions on this crazy idea, I'm also completely open to other suggestions that do not involve turning off the water. Thanks in advance for any help.
