So, I'm putting a bathroom in my basement. No previous plumbing under slab and my stack is half way up the wall. Sewage Ejector it is then. I call up Little Giant and explain my situation and ask for a recommendation. They give it, I take it, and they send it to me. Here's my issue:
The basins inlet sticks out about 4in from the wall of the basin. When I went to hook up my 4in coupling to it there was a lot of play. So I called and asked if I was missing something and they said the style I got was designed for a flexible rubber boot only.
I'm not very excited about using a rubber boot on this connection because I'm concerned about it's integrity over time. I planned on burying and concreting this area, but now I'm thinking twice.
Have any of you had any experience with rubber boots under the ground over a period of time?
