Hi there. I recently purchased a piece of land and am in the process of building my own house here. This is going to be a real house with full amenities. The property already has a well and septic in place, but not connected to anything. I am basically looking for someone to give advice and help me come up with a plan as far as setting everything up in a proper way. Around here (in the woods of Maine) a lot of people rig up some pretty... interesting... stuff for their plumbing solutions but I'm looking to do it right from the start rather than a bunch of make-do solutions. I'm quite experienced with a variety of trades, Machining, and boatbuilding particularly, and believe this to be within my skillset with coaching from an informed individual. Of course there are some details like liability, etc, you would assume none of that since your role is just to inform me to make the best decisions and create a plan to move forward. I'm sure this might sound like a headache to a lot of people, but given my background I am quite used to following direction and listening to the words of people with many years of experience and giving the respect that deserves. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, let me know. Looking forward to learning a lot about plumbing in the mean time. Thanks

And yes, I absolutely could ( and may end up just doing) look up guides and forum posts for each individual step, but I would like to work with an expert to look at my unique situation more holistically. This will be quite the journey!

yeah, I'd say any decent plumber would be more than willing to be a consultant as long as they are paid. Sounds like you are willing to do that, so shop for someone in the area. CHECK THEIR REFERENCES.

Hey man, have you found help with your project? I’m a licensed plumber in Oregon, but I’m traveling quite a lot now with my small family and so I look for things like this to do in my spare time. Would love to help if you still need it. Let me know.
