Toilet has been running for awhile. We have been turning the water off. It runs about every 5 or 10 minutes. First I replaced the fill valve and the flapper. Still kept running. Looking on the bowl I can see water trickling in. So, today I replaced the whole flush valve, which included a flapper. I have adjusted the float so water stops below the overflow. I can still see a slow water trickle into the bowl. I have now replaced everything. Short of getting a new toilet, what should I do?

Make sure the refill hose is a clipped above the water level in the tank.

WOW!!! That seems to have fixed it. It has been 30 minutes and no running. The refill hose was long. Probably a couple of inches below the water line at least. Thank you!!!!!
