Rinnai tankless water heater in default mode?

We just moved into a brand new construction home. Our water heater wasn’t working so we thought our gas had not been turned on. When the gas company came out they said it looks like our Rinnai tankless water heater is in default mode and said we can figure that out.

Any idea how to get out of default mode?

Who did your plumbing ? Who installed the water heater ?

Who ever installed it needs to come commission the water heater.

There’s no default mode. There are fault codes that the heater can store or display on the keypad wall controller. Which one is yours showing ? Does it have power ?
