The sinks galvanized nipple is 1 1/2” and threads into a 2” threaded santee. The santee drains to a 2” ci pipe.

I’d like to use 1 1/2” santee bc I’ll be moving the santee to a tighter space. Is that acceptable? Will it cause backups for a bathroom sink. I’ll use a reducer coupling from the existing 2” piping shown to the 1 1/2” santee.

My gut says non-issue, but just wanted to check.
