Having to replace the cache aerators for the Moen bathroom faucets in our house. The house is on well water and we purchased it last year and the previous owners apparently never did any maintenance of that kind so they're all in pretty rough shape. As best I can tell it's a junior size, 1.5 gpm. This is the aerator: https://www.moen.com/shared/docs/product-specifications/137401sp.pdf. They don't give the size, but I think it's the junior size.
Is there an alternative to replace this with a 2.2 gpm cache aerator? I've come across something called Neoperl who makes a 2.2 gpm cache aerator in the junior size, but not sure that'll fit in the Moen. I saw a video online that said some Moen cache aerators are 2 piece and would require an adapter kit to work with the Neoperl aerator. Not sure if the aerator we have is 2 piece or not since we didn't have the key to remove it...I have ordered a key from Amazon and should have that in the next couple of days.
