Relacing old basement sink with laundry sink

Hello.

I am considering replacing my current basement sink and cabinet with a laundry sink. This is in an unfinished basement bathroom/laundry room. My reasoning for replacing is the cabinet is in very tough shape. My plumbing experience is very limited, so I will appreciate any and all advice especially as I would like this to be within code.

My thoughts are placing compression valves on the water lines with a flexible water supply lines and replacing the drain pipe with pvc.

A few questions. How far can the water lines and drain line run without being attached to the wall? Right now they are supported by the old cabinet, but will not be there with the new sink. Also, I see there are sinks that attach directly to the all with no legs. The basement is a block foundation, not sure if it would be a good idea to anchor into it, maybe someone has experience with this.

Currently there is no vent on the sink plumbing, should I install one?

I'm surprised your washing machine doesn't currently draw the water seal from the sink trap , since neither have a vent. No sewer smells from either of the 2 traps? Both traps are required to be vented. Or alternately the washer could dump into the new laundry sink that must be vented.
I have no experience with attaching a sink to concrete block walls. I have solid concrete walls and my laundry sink has legs.
We'll see what the experienced plumbers have to offer.

Thank you Frodo. Your post will save me hours of time and multiple trips to the hardware store. The new sink will be here on the 6th. I will try to provide an update after or I may need additional questions answered.

When you get your laundry tub
put it together,,set it up, measure from floor to the tail piece

THAT number, is your critical number
on this tub...see image...drain height from floor is 16'' or lower

That number is critical I assume because I need a slight downward slope for the drain pipe coming off the p trap from the laundry sink?

Also, after studying your 1st diagram, I realize you are suggesting I replace all of my current laundry drain pipe, p-trap. This is starting to get a little overwhelming, but I guess there is only 1 way to learn.

Another question and I realize there are a hundred variables here. Approximately how far will my AAV be off the ground? I guess more specifically is there a certain amount of pipe that it needs to be placed onto? or maybe just needs to be the highest point of the system.

aav needs to be technically a minimum of 6'' above the top of the washer

*Update*

This is where I am currently in this project, Frodo. Nothing is cemented yet just fitting pipes. I had to removed the shelf above the laundry machines so that I will have enough room for the aav.

Also, I ran into a problem where the drain goes through the floor the hot water supply line runs right over top of it. I am thinking of just running to 45 degree angles to reroute the drain line and aav just a little.

Those tee's are not drainage tee's they are pressure fittings.

You were correct. It was high, I had to cut some off the pvc from the WYE to the 45 angle bend. I now have a slight down slope.

I think I cut too much off the tailpiece from the sink drain. So my P Trap is a little higher than most probably. The top of the pvc coming from the p trap is at 20".

I am on the last 1 1/2 pvc pipe from the tee to the the bend that goes back into the WYE &2 inch pipe up top. I will take another pic when done.

Is there anything I need to do to the AAV besides take the wrapper off and mount it on top of the 2inch pvc? Its an Oatey Sure Vent compatible with 11/2 or 2".

*Update 2*

Here is the "finished" but not yet cemented product. The only liberty I took in your instructions was the 2 45 bends in the 2 inch pipe to get it away from both the hot water line and the water valves for the wash machine.

Do I have any obvious deficiencies?

Good idea I do have a strap for it. This thing has turned out to be quite a piece of equipment.
