I'm guessing that is not a wet area approved light fixture?
Was this already a shower or is it a closet getting turned in to one?

It was a fiberglass shower with a built in roof. It was just a common recessed light with a 40 watt bulb in it. Switch right outside the door.

I tore the shower out. I’m moving the light switch. Adding a GFCI to protect the switch and light fixture.

Building a ceiling, installing a fan light combo.

Putting cultured marble pan back with walls. Grab bars, new delta faucet with 3 position diverter and handshower slide bar.

Probably. The cans have to be shower enclosure rated I believe. And on a GFCI

I’m not sure. I’m doing this job for my mother so I’m going to do the electrical.

(a side note, we purchased this house from a dope dealing restaurant owner. He had imported slabs of black granite everywhere in this house. This particular shower he had cut on the shower wall the word "Munmon" with both black and white granite, so forever after, this bathroom is known as the Munmon room)

Feeling a tad better today. Still tired and not feeling great, but arrhythmia isn't acting up so that's good. Got notice from Lowes that the door I ordered came in. Need to pick it up but it's coooold. I will wait until it warms up a little more before I go out there. Need to hit samslcub for cat food anyway. I'll have to see if I can rouse my brother to help me. Gonna need his help to get my door into the workshop so I can paint it when it warms up even more. Gotta pry the cats off of me first though.

That’s rust From the steel bolt they used.

They also put a metal washer under the rubber washer inside the tank, that’s wrong.

Looks like the basket strainer is rusted out.

Old shower stalls often had lights like that.
There was a heavy glass lens on the somewhat watertight trim.
Still asking for trouble.

Got that bucket boss rig with storage top seat snd it came with a handle that slides over the bucket handle.

I haven’t used it yet but I love it already.

I could put beer in the bucket.....
I might not have to retire after all.

I wish they made a parachute type bag that pulled up over the bucket.

This would keep any tools from falling out. It would also protect anything you might scrape by walking by with the tools.
