A contractor recommended the Kenmore "Power Miser 12" glass-lined electric water heater for us.
The Kenmore and Sears websites don't show anything called "Power miser," but they do have glass-lined electric water heaters with a twelve-year warranty.
When you read the reviews, some people love them, but a distressing number of people talk about leaks and electrical problems. However, I don't know if ALL water heaters would have the same proportion of people experiencing problems.
Does anyone have any insight into this water heater?
On a related note, a friend of mine has a Rheem Fury Energy Miser with the glass liner, and the contractor says this is also a good choice, so if anyone knows anything about this one, I'd like to hear it, too.
