Pipes in wall banging

Pipes are banging in my walls when I flush the low flush toilet in the master bathroom. The old-style toilet in the hall bathroom is essentially right behind it separated only by walls but doesn't have this problem. I have other low flush toilets in the house (same model), but they don't cause a problem. The master bath toilet was in place for over a year before the problem started. I've drained the pipes using many different methods. Some say open all the faucets. Some say open only cold-water faucets. Some say open only the highest and lowest faucets in the house. None of them helped. Anything else I can try before requesting professional help?

Plumbing practice used to be installing risers at faucets that would then contain air to help eliminate water hammer. What you are attempting to do is reintroduce air into those chambers. In practice, the air in those chambers diffuse into the water and they do not function. There are hammer arrestors that have a "sealed" air chamber that can help.

As this hammering didn't occur immediately after the installation of the low flush toilet, I'm thinking the pipes have loosened from some anchor points inside the wall.

So, you have 4 options in my mind.

1) Open the wall and isolate/anchor the pipe from the wall.
2) Install a hammer arrestor in the line to the toilet.
3) Live with the hammering.
4) Install a different toilet.

Item 1) is the surest fix if you want to keep this toilet, IMHO.
