p-trap vs. s-trap

In the process of remodeling our kitchen, the drain pipe for the sink is coming out of the wall and entering the sink cabinet only 3 1/2" above the floor of the sink cabinet box.

Is it acceptable to create an s-trap rather than a p-trap below the sink?

you should put in a p trap not an s trap

Thanks for responding, Mike. What would you do in my situation with the drain only 3 1/2" above the sink cabinet floor? The walls are closed up and the cabinets are already in place.
