I have to change out a couple outside water spigot faceplates and i was wondering if i have to manually shut off the water to the spigot or if have the valve shut is good enough?
Without knowing what type of 'faceplate' you are changing, with so many brands and designs on the market, I would say that the safe bet is to shut down at the isolation valve before the spigot. No point in taking an unnecessary risk if the isolation valve is there.
