Hi all,

I am in the process of planning the locations of the 28mm flow and return pipes to rads using an ASHP, and provisionally looking into the most efficient way of running the pipes through the house.

Option 1:
- Zone 1 is in the existing part of the house build circa 1940
- Zone 2 is in the newly build part of the house circa 2022
(Both zones would be run as two loops with globe valves to restrict if required.)

Option 2:
- One continuous loop around the property.

Which of the options would you deem as the most efficient to run?

Thanks, I massively appreciate your assistance

Ollie

Not a lot of hydronics specialists on this site. You might try HeatingHelp.com, The Wall. that's where the experts are. good luck.
Plumbers here in the US tend to largely not do much hydronic heating.
