Hi, my first post.

About 3 weeks ago, I was awoken in the middle of the night by banging pipes. Every 1 to 3 minutes for 10 sections they bang. I checked the utility room and it seems that water is flowing for those 10 seconds. This banging still occurs at night when no one is using any water flow.

Plumber #1 (new guy) said it was my PRV and the outside and inside pressure was 90 psi and he'd charge me $500 to change the PRV.

Plumber #2 (my regular plumber) put a pressure gauge inside (fluctuates between 55 and 85 psi throughout the day). He's not convinced it's the PRV, but maybe something with our Crown Bali boiler. He just can't figure it out :(

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Adam
