These are the faucets that came with my new trailer. They're generic garbage like the plastic bathroom faucets I've already replaced. They have the typical CYA temperature limiter on them by default and only go a bit past lukewarm. The problem is, unlike every other shower I've seen, the turn stop isn't adjustable, at least not in the way I'm used to.

Now that the weather is getting cold, I desperately need full heat out of these showers. I don't want to turn up the thermostat on my hot water heater when it's already scalding-hot at the kitchen and bathroom sink faucets.

Has anyone seen this particular model? You can see what happens--the raised white tabs start at one extreme of the turn stops and end at the other. I can't see how I can get increased range without removing the red ring all together, and I don't know if that is possible. It certainly doesn't seem like a clean solution.

I'd really rather not have to get a plumber to replace the valve and the trim. I'm thinking about removing the red ring and delicately shaving away some of the red plastic to give me just another 10 degrees of turn (and perhaps 10 degrees of temperature if I'm lucky).

I'm a neophyte so I hope I'm just missing something here. If I'm not, I'd love feedback on my modification proposal!

Edit: Haha I feel dumb... Yes, it's non-adjustable, but it is fully removable and unnecessary. For some reason, I thought some kind of stop there was necessary for the proper action of the valve. It isn't--made no difference except now I can get pure hot water. :) I'm leaving this up as 1) a testament to my stupidity, and 2) just in case someone else someday thinks they have a similar problem and happens upon my thread in a search.
