Hello all..... I'm new here and would really appreciate some advice. I have run out of things to check other than replace the faucet. I have a Moen 2 handle bathroom sink faucet that has no hot or cold water (not even a drop) when I turn the handles on the faucet. The faucet came with the house when we had it built 12 years ago. After a few years we noticed the faucet pressure was low, but the double sink faucet next to it was fine. Being that the sink rarely gets used we didn't pay it any attention. Last week I tried the faucet and now there is no water at all coming from hot or cold. I've checked the water supplies under the sink and they are on. I've removed and cleaned the aerator and left it off for now. I've pulled the 1224 cartridges and they looked OK (with cartridges out, I turned on the water supplies quickly to see if water would come up. LOL ... water came out strong! ) So I purchase 2 new Moen brand 1224 cartridges and replaced them both. Put it all back together. Turned water supplies back on but still no water when I turn on either hot or cold water. The quarter turn handles do feel like the are properly engaging the cartridges when I turn them. I have not removed the faucet to inspect for blockages yet. Is that my last option? Am I missing something else to check? FYI... We have a whole house water softener, so calcium build up is not much of a problem at all with any of our plumbing fixtures. I would be very thankful for any suggestions. Thanks!!!

Can you remove the faucet supplies put new ones on, but before connecting to the faucet flush into a bucket, or try removing the aerator, put a wet vac on the spout if you can remove the spout and check that's even better

I have some experience as a homeowner with this type of Moen valves/faucets. I've found them to be pretty reliable. Have you tried contacting Moen customer support for assistance? I noticed you earlier said that you were the original owner. Moen provides a lifetime warranty to the original owner. I have had good luck with getting replacement parts from Moen, and I usually contact them first if I have an issue with one of their products. I haven't experienced the same issue you have with your spread faucets, but I did have issues with some single faucet shower valves in showers that were rarely used. No water would come out the hot side. Moen sent me new cartridges, and that solved the problem.

Thanks for the replies ... I spoke with Moen today. They said I need to replace the cartridges. I explained I had already done that with Moen brand 1224 cartridges. They said they still have to send me replacements and if that doesn't fix the problem they will start the process to send me a replacement faucet. Thanks again for the advice.
