Hello all, first time poster here so I’ll try to keep it brief and not inundate yalls with too many questions right off the bat. Wife and I have been in our 3BR cape since 2013, forced hot water baseboard 3 heating zones taco circ 007’s, 1 addl 007 for triangle tube water heater, Utica boiler (age unknown) Beckett oil burner. Just replaced leaking HyVent on top of valve on top of expansion tank. I shut boiler fill valve from well, drained the boiler some from bottom valve at floor to relieve some pressure, unscrewed the old HyVent holding a rag on the opening, little bit of water sprayed out then put new unit in right away. Filled boiler back up, started up and seemed ok. Pressure will not stay around 20 as usual, keeps creeping up to 25, even 30 at one point so I drained some water out as I was afraid of the relief valve letting go. How can I get the pressure to stabilize? All baseboards in house are fine/warm. Any instructions on how to properly drain/fill/bleed these systems in order to replace parts without having these pressure issues. Thanks in advance. I can post pics upon request.
