New Plumber, learning boiler wiring need help on old boilers and new

As it says above I'm pretty new to boilers so I'm trying to understand the wiring of it and installing zone valves I have read a bunch of books and am unsure of how to wire zone valves and where they can be wired to if that makes sense please dumb everything down for me please I'm a new plumber lol so throwing big words and numbers won't help lol sorry any help is much appreciated

In my opinion it would be better to have someone physically show you it would be safer for you this way

I have done the supply and return line on the boiler I understand 120v comes into an aquastat thru a transformer down to 24v I understand that portions I under how the aquastat works (self taught via books) what I'm confusing myself on are the basics of zone valves and troubleshooting a boiler like why does it keep clicking on and of by itself I need that stuff the troubleshooting but dumbed down if that makes sense
