Our brand new hot water tank was on a hand truck and being moved into position and when it was being set down ( still on the hand truck) it tipped down rather quickly with a thud. The tank is just very heavy, 250 lbs, so it kind of just got away from the person when setting it down. There was no other noise and the tank didn't move off the hand cart as it was still securely strapped to it.
So my question is how easy is it for the glass liner or any other internal parts on the inside of a hot water tank to break as the thud made me a little nervous?
The tank is a very expensive, glass lined tank with an internal helical coil.

Thank you.

The way water heaters are insulated these days you should be fine. Supply Co. have scratch and dent sales all the time.
