My well has acidic water. It has worn through all my metal connections. I am going to have water treatment systems installed to fix it. Some companies have recommended a CFP and others have recommended a neutralizer. I was wondering if anyone here had opinions or insights into which is better.

My water has been tested several times. pH has been 5.0, 5.5, 6.0. TDS 140-150. Iron and other metals are very low. One company measured saturated CO2 levels at 75. Water hardness 4-7.

The neutralizer would be 2.5cf with a mix of calcite and magnesium. The CFP would be soda ash to start and move to caustic if the soda ash was not strong enough. I have been told the CFP is a brand that does not require yearly rebuilding.

As far as water usage, we can have two showers and a washing machine running at once. Occasionally three showers.

Thanks,
Jonathan
